Magic Mushroom Ceremonies

The main ingredient of this retreat is a couple of powerful mind-reset magic mushroom ceremonies. Psilocybin therapy has been proven to relieve depression and provide deep insights that can lead to living life with purpose. Based on a load of scientific studies about the benefits, we combine it with micronutrients from natural spices to prevent the breakdown of neurotransmitters and have a longer effect (nutmeg, lions mane, etc). The environment is a key factor for achieving the best results from a magic mushroom retreat, which is why we select small groups of like-minded individuals with a similar journey, to create a master mind of wellness and peer support. Yoga

We have an optional sunrise yoga session at the start of each day and watch the sun coming up from the turquoise Caribbean Sea while we start our yoga practice and meditation, although it can be a bit of an effort to get up with the sun, it is definitely worth it. When you control your body’s balance, you can attain control of what you say, think, and feel. This is the magical aspect of yoga, feeling this reflected on the perception of your daily life.

Yoga cultivates endurance and physical control, and conditions your spine, therefore preventing injuries. Also by stretching you create space for toxins to leave your body easily.

mimosa hostilis DMT

DMT retreat therapy has been known from the famous ayahuasca ceremonies. This therapies are known for being a bit rough on the stomach. Yet there is a way more gentle form of DMT which comes from a tree native of Mexico called Tepezcohuite, call it the PG13 of ayahuasca if you like, yet the effect is just as powerfull. This therapy, although optional, is included for anyone looking for a bit more depth. It is a very powerful experience, although it can be interesting to experience the visual experience of geometric figures and colors, the main benefit is that you feel as if a master reset button was pushed and gives you a very deep sense of peace.

Temazcal

Temazcal is an ancient sweat lodge that has been used through the history of tribes as a way for spiritual and physical purification. A facilitator with native heritage will guide this ceremony, it is an extraordinary experience, quite healing by itself, chanting spiritual songs in their native language and playing hand-made musical instruments of their tribe. Shaman will offer optional ayahuasca alternative smoke. This ceremony is combined with the magic mushrooms and the heat from the steam can activate circulation and enhance somewhat the effect.

San Pedro Cactus Huachuma

Huachuma or San Pedro Cactus is a very special medicine that can provide a sense of oneness with the universe. It can melt the barriers of the ego and makes us realize that we are much more than we believe to be. It is an ancient medicine offered by the Maracames, the healers and shamans from the Huichol tribes in Mexico. As a New Years special edicion we will be offering this very special medicine for an extra experience that can help make some new and powerful insights for starting your new year 2025 with the right mindset for living in peace, harmony, and flow with your innermost intentions of becoming a better human being.

Breath-work

Breathwork is a strong breathing meditation that inhibits mental blocks and bias and shifts the consciousness. Enhanced by the use of oxygen, it is one of the most powerful experiences alternative to psychedelics, it also makes the body alcaline as a secondary effect. Several times we have heard that this powerful practice provided even more insight and depth than the psychedelic medicine, when you get to this day, prepare yourself to make a bit of a breath-work, and to reap things you could never imagine could be found with mere breath!

The goal of the meditation is to find your essential life purpose and get a grip for living your best life. Make sure you do not miss this session on the retreat!

Playa del Carmen

This city is a balance between the busy Cancun and the relaxed Tulum. The famous Quinta Avenida (fifth avenue) is full of shops, restaurants, Mexican curiosities, coffee shops. It is a street protected for pedestrians, where it is not even allowed to drive bicycles, hence it is peaceful to take a walk around. Playa as well has some streets adapted for bicycles, so that you can manage to use a bicycle as your transportation which is a unique feature that is rare in Mexico.

Our New Years jungle location in Sacbe Community Center is genuinely a hidden gem in the neighboring jungle area of Playa del Carmen. It is one of the few places with its own private cenote that you can use any time during your free time, and we will as well give you a guided tour around the natural formation of caves that formed as hundreds of years of rain slowly modified the limestone.

Our Playa del Carmen retreat is great for exploring a small town, which still keeps traditions such as the protection of mangrove trees, and certain architecture limits that forbid the making of tall buildings, hence the town has a certain European feeling, within of course the refreshing breeze of the Caribbean Sea. We picked this location for our mushroom and ayahuasca retreat because of its easy access from Cancun airport and our jungle activities. Retreat does not include airport transportation, there are several options upon arrival, we suggest to take one once there in case there is a flight delay, but we are happy to suggest a driver.
