Powerhouse of Energy! Chocolate bars!
This is a great way to start your day and enjoy with your morning coffee or tea. It is literally a bomb of energy just waiting to blast!
It is also very easy to make… basically blend all ingredients and voila!… Only for the chocolate layer from the top mix coconut oil and cacao… my mouth starts watering as I am writing this two ingredients… they are very healthy as coconut oil contains laurie acid which has antiviral properties to give your immune system a helping hand; and cacao, the highest vegetable source of magnesium which can help prevent diabetes as it can help regulate blood sugar, and as well helps keeping you in a good balanced mood.
Start the day with this treat and enjoy the ride! You can cut it into small bits and have them as a treat-or-trick snack for the family!
– 1 cup almond meal (or I just wizz up any nuts I have laying around, can be a mixture)
– 1 cup oat meal / ground oats
– 1/2 cup ground dried coconut
– 1 tbsp peanut butter
– 2 tbsp cacao powder
-1 tsp vanilla
-1 tsp cinnamon powder
– 1/2 cup chia seeds
– 1/2 cup flaxseed
– 3/4 cup protein powder of choice, preferably vanilla or chocolate flavor (if not use a couple tbsp honey/maple syrup as a sweetener instead)
– just enough coconut oil to make everything blend and stick together. This measure varies slightly depending on your blender
-pinch of salt
For the topping:
-2 tbsp cacao
-as much coconut oil so you can make layer over the slice
-2 tsp honey
