Playa del Carmen is an established international travel destination. You will stay at your confirmed accommodation, and transportation between scheduled retreat venues is included. Our team can help you plan your airport arrival and answer practical travel questions before you book. As with any destination, no trip is risk-free: use authorized transportation, take normal precautions with valuables, and check your government’s current travel advice before departure.
Which airport should I fly into, and how do I reach the retreat?
Fly into Cancún International Airport (CUN), a world-class international airport serving the Riviera Maya. From the airport, Playa del Carmen is approximately a 45-minute drive in light traffic. A private transfer is easy to arrange with our help before arrival, or you can use authorized transportation at arrivals. Confirm your terminal, pickup instructions and fare, and allow extra time for immigration, baggage and traffic. Airport transportation is charged separately from your retreat package.

At this retreat she leads the music of the Day 2 ceremony, a floating sound healing performance in a private cenote and a closing dance party with her classic songs and unreleased music.

Guests can stay at IT Boutique Hotel in Playa del Carmen or Sacbé Villa at Portal Xibalba in Pueblo Sacbé for five nights, January 22–27, 2027. Villa rooms vary while sharing the same handcrafted, organic concept. Your property, room type, occupancy, amenities and total price are confirmed before payment.
How much does the retreat cost?
The Shared Sanctuary is US$3,333 per person, the Private Sanctuary is US$3,999 per person, and the Sacred Connection Suite is US$6,777 total for two, each for five nights. Packages include accommodation, the retreat meal plan, scheduled performances and activities, and transportation between scheduled venues.
What does the package include?
Accommodation, the retreat meal plan, scheduled performances and activities, transportation between scheduled venues, the Day 1 welcome reception with Shanin and her team, and Day 3 temazcal and cenote use. Optional VIP ceremony upgrades are not included.
Are there VIP upgrades for the ceremony?
Yes. Two optional VIP upgrades are available during the Day 2 ceremony. The Open Heart VIP Upgrade is a 15-minute session for a small group of three with Shanin, including a hapé ceremony, sound healing and light language activation for each person (US$222 per person, three spots). The Sunshine VIP Upgrade is a private one-on-one session with Shanin with a personal hapé ceremony, a customized light language activation, sound healing and intuitive guidance (US$444, one available). Both include a Shanin Blake merch gift bag.
Why do you ask about medications and mental health?
For your safety. Some medications, such as certain antidepressants and mood stabilizers like lithium, and some mental health conditions can interact with psilocybin. Our facilitators review your answers privately before the ceremony. Sharing them will not affect your participation in the retreat; if anything needs extra care, we will talk it through with you personally.
Are airport transfers included?
No. Airfare and airport transportation are not included. Fly into Cancún International Airport (CUN), a world-class international gateway to the Riviera Maya. Playa del Carmen is approximately a 45-minute drive from the airport in light traffic; allow extra time for traffic, immigration and baggage collection. Life Synergy can help arrange a private transfer in advance and confirm the price, terminal meeting point and pickup details. Authorized transportation is also available at arrivals; confirm the fare and destination before departure.
Can I come alone?
Absolutely. The structure of the retreat makes it easy to meet people without forcing connection.
